Here is a simple circuit that can be used to open/close your garrages's shutter with remote. The remote has a range of 100meter's.
Garrage motor section
Here the principle used is, the encoder/decoder IC's HT12E/HT12D to encode /decode the data and transmitted using 455Mhz ASK Transmitters. In the garage motor section two relays are present for two motor's. One motor is for opening while the other is for closing
